It seems that FamilyClix now has a silent miner running in the ads page (or got infected by one)..

Please check your CPU usage in the task manager when you browse to the "View Ads" page.

It drove me mad at first, because it made my whole system lag, but I've now figured out how to work around this on Chrome:

never mind, I found it  Smiley

Where exactly is it? I could only use the regular banner advertising form that works with credits..

Is there a 2-months option available?

I experienced the same thing. And I'm sure he knew what was going on. My trust is sinking regarding them  Angry

Try this when you are logged in

http://www.familyclix.com/?view=account&page=manageads&class=featured_link

It is in the advertiser panel under the 'featured link ads' drop down. When you create your ad you can allocate credits. There will be two for each pack you buy. Each credit = 1 month  Smiley

So we were talking about text ads and impressions, huh?  Feeling beat up

Alright, I had probably drunk a lot before I read the special pack details..
I can't even remember drinking.. Grin

Anyways, I got the right keyword for the job so I guess it's fine, and it included a bunch of other bonuses as well, so all cool. Smiley

It's weird but this time I think that he might have really not noticed the miner.. because basically it doesn't benefit him..

The miner starts running through one of the iframes provided by the third party site PTCWall and it's them that are most likely benefiting from it.

As admin, there are not many reasons to login to the site and visit the ads page.. he probably only uses the administration panel, and the miner only starts running along with the PTCWall section of the view ads page.

So, if he logged in just to view it's showing up, and left the page, it is possible that he didn't even notice the CPU hogging..

And deciding to take it down because of it, indeed surprised me.  Shocked
With the results my previous objections had, I wasn't expecting anything better now. That's a plus. Smiley

Were you thinking fixed ads too?

Even if they are just texts the 200k banners for $5 is a pretty good deal

I've just noticed this on FamilyClix:

Quote:
Current Grow: 0.50%

...

I think I'll switch back to Sister or maybe even to Baby+ once my Mommy membership expires.. just to convert my shares to cash through advertising.. Shares profit is getting way to long term for my needs..  Cry

Yes, that happened a few days ago. I'm just glad I broke even with them. All is pure profit now and I'll be reinvesting so that I can get up to 4 shares reinvested per day. It is tough. I'm still holding on to brother

And the news keep coming..

Quote:
From December 1 will be necessary to click minimum 10 ads to be able to receive earnings from referrals next day.

You will also need to do 20 push-ups, spell the alphabet reversed, hold your breath for 2 minutes, and count to 1000 before requesting a withdrawal..  Smiley

It's a bit harsh but we need to do that to cash out anyway

What I do is to click on the very top 4 ads on the page and then scroll down and click on the 6 one cents.

That's when you'll get the most bang for your clicks within 10 clicks.

I normally click ~40 ads once every 3-4 days.

The top ones aren't forced focus and are pretty quick also, so I can do that while working on something else.

Either way, I don't have RRs on FC so I wonder if that rule affects share revenues or direct referrals as well, or just RRs.

I'll ask in their forum regarding this. It's good to know.

I didn't realize the top ones weren't forced focus. That was the only frustrating part of that. I guess I'll click those for now

I still got for those 6 big ads. I usually do a focused view ad along with another non-focused ad on another PTC. I keep familyclix window active while the other ad runs behind  Wink
