Kicking the oil companies in the rear
20th Oct, 2015 at 6:07pm

After a long time dreaming of it, I finnaly kicked the oil companies in the rear.

Yep, ...

I'm drivin' electric now.
Here's my little eletric car soaking up electrons at a fast charging station
...

I've been driving it for 3 weeks, and I've already made over 500km with 0 CO2 emissions. Bought it used from France and now I'm about to get it a Portuguese license plate.

Nice! Did your online earnings pay for that?

you know you're just being silly. Why not hook up a converter that will just allow you to zap the power in with your eyes?    Cheesy

That'd fry the battery. It has only 16kWh, so you can't charge it up that fast or it's a goner in no time.
Because of that I must use 50kW fast chargers, whose power output is much lower than my eyes.
Just for reference, I could send a Delorean back to the future Wink

P.S Happy Back to the Future Day!

Cool  Smiley

What's it like to drive a silent car? Must be awkward at least at first..   Smiley

I recently got mine converted to use Natural Gas and it really half-ed down the costs..

My dad was a MB car mechanic so I'm on a custom built, 91' MB E200 W124.. that was really greedy on the gasoline before the conversion.. Smiley

I've driven a silent scooter for three years now. It didn't surprise that much, but my mom and friends certainly did.
When I turned it on with one of my friends, she told me "No way! There's no way this is on!"
Everbody who rides it loves it. As a colleague of mine told me, in the old days you impressed ladies with the noisiest and dirtiest cars with big engines. Now it's the silent, green cars that impress them.  Grin

What conversion did your car get? Diesel? Hopefully not the VW kind  Roll Eyes

Not sure if I get you, but it was running on gasoline before (you know the one that loves to explode with fire..).
Now it's hybrid so it also runs on Natural Gas, but it can also run on gasoline just like before.

Oh, ok. I was wondering if you had changed it to diesel or something (since I saw the diesel version of that car was quite popular). The joke was that diesel got a bad rep recently, thanks to the VW scandal.
