I am really not a fan of rented referral systems ...

Me neither, ever since neobux I never rent refs...
But sold refs... hm.. if the price is good and I'm online when they activate it I might get some..
Wordlinx offers 10 levels which is fair enough... even though their paying ratios are bad..
It has some good potential. But why switch to renting.. that kinda sucks.. :-/

Same here.   I'm not a fan of either renting or purchasing referrals.

They used to post their referral sale on Twitter.  Don't know if they still do it, but they used to have a $5 drawing for re-tweeted message.

This is what they say about referral sales.

WordLinx Referrals

These go on sale first and are available to upgraded members only.

Standard members may not be able to buy. :P (I am upgraded, but before I notice, it's sold out.)

If this is the first email you're received from us in a while, you've missed some big changes. We have a brand new programmer who has helped us implement some fantastic features. These include...

WordLinx Points - Get rewarded for reading emails and now for sharing links too!

Share Stats - See how many times your advert has been shared, and soon where!

Credit Reminders - Members advertise with free credits to create more paid adverts!

We've also fixed many bugs that caused a lot of problems in the past. However, the reason we're emailing everyone today is that we have a new rule that affects all members.

You must now log in and click at least one link every 7 days, otherwise you won't earn from your referrals' clicks or purchases. That's a minimum of one click (any value) every week.

This rewards active members, while not punishing those who can't click daily. It also helps to deliver advertisers' campaigns more quickly. Don't miss out - click today!

Thanks for reading. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us.

That indeed seems like a nice rule for a PTC program these days.. now sure how helpful it is with general activity rates though,
but it's kinda stressfull when you have to click 4 or even 10 ads a day in a single program to earn..

Btw, MM I've added the quote in your post.. otherwise it kinda looks like you're one of them..lol

That's why I said not to join too many programs. Sometime "less is more".

Basically I think it's more correct "not to click in or promote too many programs"..
Sometimes it's important to join programs for advertising purposes.

For advertising purposes, I prefer to stick with a program until I saturate its potential. Then I'll move on to the next one. Usually there is a point where you can only get a maximum of results from a site. After that you are wasting your money but those numbers are pretty high before that happens.

Another benefit of sticking with one site until maximized is that, at the higher advertising levels, you are getting some nice price breaks. So your cost per referral goes down. Buying in bulk should be one of your considerations

Well, you could still look at it this way, why join more programs whereas you'd need to click when you're already doing enough, including some required, in some of the other programs.

In another word, sometime just stick to what's working rather than spreading out too thin.
